October Book Club Meeting
We will meet at Two Slices Restaurant on Kosciusko St.. at 7:00 pm on October 30th to discuss “Operation Light Switch” by John Wemlinger. The author will be joining us to discuss his book. Some of us get together informally at 6:00 for a bite to eat prior to the meeting. Please feel free to join us. Please make note of the change in location.
Bookies and Cookies Schedule
Roxanne Rowley, Early Childhood Specialist, will be hosting Bookies and Cookies at the Happy Owl on various Fridays. . This lasts about 1/2 hour and includes stories, song, finger-plays, and dances for young children.

Downtown Halloween Celebration
October 27th, the downtown merchants will be participating in a Halloween Celebration coordinated by the Manistee Elks. The Happy Owl will have pumpkin painting and other exciting activities.

5pm Pet Parade and Costume Contest at Port City Organics
7pm – 12am – Beer Tent Opens (must be 21 to enter)
10:30/11:00pm – Adult Costume Contest **
